Acer predator X32 FP - Horrible OSD and Acer Display Widget, please help.

First off, this monitor has all the controls on THE BACK OF THE MONITOR. Really fun when I have another monitor really close to the right of it. This is a terrible design decision. There's room on the bottom, you've put giant LED I can't disable there.

Many settings in the OSD/Monitor seem to be global? They are not per profile, nor are they per input.
And a lot of them are not adjustable in Acer Display Widget (ADW - from now on).

ADW will pick up and show monitors it doesn't support, why? Ever time I started it auto picks my dell and says “Selected Monitor Not Supported”.

Example for my personal windows desktop, I don't like Adaptive dimming for normal work, especially how the mouse cursor dims, so I have these settings:
Color→Color Space: sRGB
Gaming→Adaptive Dimming: Off
Gaming→FreeSync Premium Pro: On

I then want to do watch some YouTube in 4K HDR:
1. I have to enable HDR in OSD or ADW
2. Then I have to enable it in windows display options.
3. Then to go into OSD and set Adaptive Dimming to match my content (I can't do this in ADW).

I then want to do some work again:
1. I have to disable HDR in OSD or choose a different profile in ADW.
2. I have to disable HDR in windows display options.
3. I have to turn adaptive dimming off again. It does not restore with a user profile.
4. I also have to put the color space back to sRGB, because it failed to restore that as well.

Now I want to play on PS5, I now have to turn off the global setting for FreeSync Premium Pro if I want to use VRR or I end up with a black screen after launching into a game that supports it.

Please someone tell me I'm doing something wrong. I am on firmware (Firmware_Acer_2.00.010_A_A).

(I have 30 days to return this, it may be going back. And it will be 100% down to bad ergonomics and terrible software.)

OK. If my first impressions were like your's, I'd have already returned it to the vendor as not meeting my expectations for a refund or exchange on something else. Sometimes poor ergonomics and unintuitive controls just aren't worth the hassle.
