On the lower right corner - click on speaker icon - go to open volume mixer - Try to increase the volume for each application.

If it is still not working..

    Try windows x

Go to device manager - Go to sound video and game controllers. Expand it

Uninstall the sound driver from device manager.  Please uninstall all the items below the sound video and game controllers. Restart the computer. It should work fine..

If it is still not working

Uninstall the sound driver from device manager

    Dont restart the computer.

    Go to support.acer.com

    chose your country

type snid or chose your model

    Hi @KBGRANDE13

If your laptop is an Aspire3 or 5 (2019) the sound board/speakers are Realtek ALC255 chip driver Audio_Realtek_6.0.8865.1_W11x64 2021/10/20 (Acer Support site).

The RT Audio Console (control panel) for W11 can be downloaded from the MS Store (look for Sound utilities not Realtek)

The low speaker volume comes with this very basic sound board and you will have to learn to live with it, get a good headset (BT or wired) and the volume will be loud. Setting the Audio Console Acer True Harmony to Movie will boost the volume also the Windows sound Audio Enhancement should be set to default (Windows11). If you are still on W10 I recommend that you upgrade to W11 (if your CPU is compatible) as that will improve the sound volume for this chip.

Go to the Microsoft store and download the Dolby Access app. Buy the one-time activation if needed.

Go to the Sound settings and set your Spatial Audio to Dolby Atmos.

Now open up the Dolby Atmos Access app again and choose settings and set a custom equalizer with the frequencies turned all the way up.

    Enjoy the louder volume.
