Why did my Acer Nitro AN515-57 stop projecting display using my docking station?

Hi, I have a Acer Nitro AN515-57. I recently purchased a docking station (Alogic Universal Twin HD - Barcode (GTIN) 9350784019912). The display orignally worked to two monitiors and now has stopped working. My settings tell me it is picking up the dock and everything plugged in but will not display to my two monitors. Why did it stop working and how can I fix it?

Thanks

Its your Alogic Universal Twin HD - Barcode (GTIN) 9350784019912vdock, check that as allot of docks don't work 100% with laptops like the Nitro, or check the HDMIK port on your Nitro if there is any problems with that.

I understand you say “ The display orignally worked to two monitiors and now has stopped working ”

    Try windows x

    go to device manager

    expand display adapter

right click on display driver - uninstall

    Restart the computer

    It should work fine..

If it is still not working

Uninstall the display adapter from device manager

    Dont restart the computer.

    Go to support.acer.com

    chose your country

type snid or chose your model

    go to drivers

    Install the display driver

    It should work fine..

Hi, I tried the first step and uninstalled the universial twin HD docking station as seen below in my screen shot. If I was meant to unistalla different driver please advise.

I commenced the second step however when searching for my SNID or Serial number is says that it does not exist. This is strange as I have regitered my laptop with acer and attempted to copy and paste the serial number listed under ‘My Products’ in acer but still does not exist.. may there be an issue with the laptop?

Try windows + x - It will show you a menu - Go to windows power shell admin or Windows Terminal admin

On the blue or black window

    Type wmic bios get serialnumber

It will show you the serial number

Now using the serial number try to download and install the driver.

On the previous comment it showed three drivers - Intel uhd graphics , Nvidia geforce rtx 3050 laptop gpu , Universal Twin hd docking station

Right click on each driver and try to click on uninstall for all the three drivers - restart the computer and check.

Please dont check the box - Delete software. Just click on uninstall or ok.

    Hello again,
I uninstalled the three drivers and completed a restart and no change to my issue.

I completed the steps to acquired serial number, it was the same as on my laptop and the one I regsitered for. I copied this number straight from terminal and pasted to acer support and the serial number still does not exist.. is there another way to locate my driver?
