I've been trying to fix this problem for almost a year. Nothing on the internet has helped me so far. I went to a shop as well and they also didn't know what to do. Ending tasks, disabling startup apps etc didn't work. There should be a solution for this. But nothing helped me. So please give me a good solution. I have 4gb ram, Acer Aspire 5. I do not want to upgrade my ram because I have other laptops that have the same amount of ram but the usage is at 50% even when 3 apps are opened at once.

At idle, RAM usage should be more than 50% (about 2.1GB) with only Windows running. Nothing else can be running in background. Please post a screenshot of Task Manager Startup tab. .

    Hi @ITDude

I have an a515-54G with Windows11 22H2 Home, I just checked my RAM usage while reading your post and it states 3.6GB in use (38.2MB compressed) that is 90% if you only have 4GB DDR4. You really should add at least 1x 4GB DDR4 module (total 8GB) for W11, if you buy the same DDR4 module as the one inside your laptop (soldered?) you will double your speed. To find out what DDR4 is inside your laptop, run the following command (elevated Command Promp- open as Administrator):

wmic MemoryChip get Banklabel, Capacity, Configuredclockspeed, Devicelocator, FormFactor, Manufacturer, Serialnumber, Speed

Buy exactly the same DDR4 and your speed will be 2667 MHz instead of 1600 MHz that you have now😉

Tip: Before you add the DDR4 module, make sure that you clear the Fast Startup option in Power Plan to shut down completely (not in hybrid/sleep mode), unplug the power adapter and after opening the back of your latop DISCONNECT THE BATTERY CABLE FROM THE MOTHERBOARD. Otherwise there will be some charge on the DDR4 modules and you may brick your laptop.
