Hi,

I'm interested in potentially replacing the panel on my an515-58-72cj with a panel that has 100% sRGB coverage, and perhaps better contrast/max brightness. I'm wondering if this can be done safely, without impacting performance, and how much I should expect to pay for the replacement panel+installation by a technician. If anyone has done this or something similar, please let me know - any info appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The only other LCD screen that is of better quality for the AN515-58, as I don't know what you mean by “with a panel that has 100% sRGB coverage” but there is a retail AN515-58s 2560x1440p at 165Hz resolution 15.6" WideScreen panel that i can give you a link to and its available for this laptop here Acer NITRO 5 AN515-58 SERIES that is a 165Hz panel, that seems that its plug is the same as the oem 40 pins video connector plug and is the same as the 144Hz panel that has the 40 pin video connector also (make sure that you enquire if this screen has 100% a 40pin Video Connector) as then it should be a simple PnP type exchangeable LCD panel.

See the below AN515-58 from the Acer SG Panel Resolution at 2560 x 1440p at 165Hz, that you can change this LCD panel or can get any tech to exchange this panel for you as its not a difficult job for a computer savvy person.

Below is the OEM AN515-58 40-pin Video Connector for the eDP cable LCD mobo plug and screen LCD plug that is suitable for the AN515-58 laptop, any other replaceable screen with different plugs will not fit. Make sure that this 165Hz 2560x1440p is the same as otherwise it wont fit and you won’t be able to connect this screen to the laptop.
