P05-640 PSU wanted to confirm that it would be upgradeable to a Corsair RM850x?

I bought a P05-640 in early February. I just got a defective exchange because the PSU fan was turning on and off every minute under very little load. I'm worried the replacement will have the same issue as it seems that these PSUs aren't the best quality. If so, I just wanted to confirm that it would be upgradeable to a Corsair RM850x? Thanks.

Sure, the PO5-640 uses an ATX power supply with the typical 24 pin connector, not the newer ATX12VO design.
