Hello!

I recently got my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-44 and I have noticed something about the display when its plugged and unplugged (to the charger)

So when it's plugged, the display looks very normal, and it looks good. It has balanced saturation and colors, it's basically the normal looking display.

But when it's unplugged, the display becomes overly bright and colorful (?). The shadows are missing, and it makes the things in my display look matte (like if you look at photos, the colors are overpowering the dark/shadows of the image), which is quite irritating to my eyes.

Basically, it's like the shadows/black in the display is lowered, and the brightness of the colors are pumped up.

Here are the things I have done:

  • Reinstall the display and battery drivers (i didn't delete the driver software, i just uninstalled it, then it reinstalled once i restarted)
  • Do the windows calibration

Here are the specifications of my laptop:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 4600H
  • Nvidia GTX 1650
  • 16gb of RAM
  • In the dxdiag, both the AMD graphics and GTX are used in display.

Here's two photos to see the difference:

I hope you guys can help me with this problem. Thanks!

Left click battery icon in tray. Move slider to left for best battery life.
