The Acer FA100 512GB M.2 is a very reliable PCIe 3x4 drive, the problem with the blue window has got to do with your GPU and graphics driver not the M.2 drive. The As Rock B660 Steel Legend mobo should is compatible with this Acer M.2 PCIe3 x4 drive and should work 100% (even if its not listed on your mobos M.2 list of compatible M.2 drives).

Update this mobos bios to the last version 9.02 as that could help also and make sure that you have all the Win-11 drivers up to date and install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and do a scan and have all the latest Intel drivers installed, also have your GPUs latest drivers up to date also, as all this helps in how your system functions with all its components.

Also, check if this M.2 drive has come lose from its M.2 slot on the mobo or if its not making full contact with the M.2 slot or there are some pins damaged to the M.2 drive or M.2 slot, check all that as that can make a big difference, also take the M.2 drive out and inserted the Acer M.2 drive into the M.2 #1 slot (as that is where the boot drive should be) again and properly and try rebooting again or if that doesn’t work, then try the M.2 slot #2 and see if that works. Otherwise there is either something wrong with your mobo or the Acer M.2 drive which is highly unlikely.

Also and looking at the AS Rock forum this is a common fault and this is another solution for “M.2 NVMe SSD not detected”

Answer from ASRock_TSD - Regarding your problem, we would like to provide some suggestions for you to verify.

    1. Clear CMOS by referring to user manual.
    2. Only install CPU, PSU, Cooler, RAM, Graphic card, SSD and boot into BIOS\Advance\Storage Configuration to check if the SSD appears under this page.
    3. Install the SSD on another M.2 socket to verify
    4. If possible, install the SSD on other systems to cross test.

As Rock B660 Steel Legend mobo M.2 slot #1

Good afternoon I unplugged all drives ok motherboard. rechecked the connection to M2_1. I also tried to insert the drive into the M2_2 connector. The drive was also not detected in the BIOS\Advance\Storage Configuration. The motherboard has bios version 9.02.
