Press and hold left mouse button on a blank spot on the task bar. While still holding the left mouse button, drag mouse to the top of the screen.

Are you using a USB mouse or trying to use the touchpad?

    Look at this information:

    https://pureinfotech.com/move-taskbar-top-side-windows-11/#:~:text=Click%20on%20Taskbar.,the%20left%20or%20right%20side.)

I haven't tried them. If you decide to try the one that is made from "regedit", make the changes in the registry very carefully and create a backup first, for this open:

    regedit - file - export

The option of changing for an application, I don't recommend it because I don't know the security it offers, anyway you decide,

    Greetings.

i have been trying to find that option. this is what i getwhen i follow your suggestion.

i choose taskbar behaviours and all i get is the option to move the taskbar to the left or to the centre.only on the bottom.

Right click blank space on taskbar again. Post screenshot of options menu if possible

Also, what was the factory installed Windows version? Win10 or Win11? And the full Aspire5 model number? For example, A515-45?
