My Acer Nitro AN515-52-52CB laptop came with a power adapter (model ADP-180MB K) having the output specification of 19.5V and 9.23A.

I need a new power adapter, but the one I am able to find has an output specification of 19V and 9.5A.

Will using a power adapter with varying output specification affect my laptop in any way?

Also, could I safely use a lower spec power adapter?

Thanks.

If you going to use a different volatage power adapter it might make malfunction of the device.

so try to get the exact one to use for your laptop.

Knowing power supplies, it could very likely handle 18V@10A, so you are most likely fine. Also, its likely that 19.5V would drop to under 19V under load anyways, not to mention how the voltage, and therefore amperage, would likely change with the voltage of the grid, and if not, that means its probably advanced enough to handle lower and higher voltages anyways. I wouldn't worry about the power specifications, although you should check to make sure the polarity and plug shape are correct, in my experience incorrect polarity can range from doing nothing due to diode protection, to causing damage, to causing fires if it is high enough amperage (such as lead acid car batteries).
