Acer Travelmate 5744 my laptop won't power on What should I do?

I recently, change the screen of my Acer Travelmate 5744. After successfully doing so, my laptop just won't power on. When I plug in the charger, a solid orange charging light is on and still won't power on, when I unplug the charger, the solid orange light stays on, until I remove the battery.

Please what could be the problem, and please help!

If the battery status light goes amber we know there is power ot the charging circuit. The power switch itself connects to the motherboard via a cable. If that's disconnected you would have those symptoms. Take the keyboard back out and verify all the cables under it are connected well.
