I have a Acer Nitro 5 Laptop (AN515-57-50AG). The specs says it has 144hz display but in the settings it has either 165hz, 85hz, or 60hz display.

Is this the reason why there are so many issues about screen problems like screen flickering or black screen?

  • Hi,

I think you have a 165Hz panel installed in your laptop, could you please go to Device manager, expand Monitors, right click Integrated monitor and select Properties, move to Details tab and select Hardware IDs, post the picture of Value window like mine.

Your laptop's display is capable of displaying 144hz, but the display settings are not set correctly. To check this, open the Settings app on your laptop and go to System > Display. Under Advanced display settings, click on Display adapter properties. In the Monitor tab, you should see a geometry dash world of refresh rates that your display supports. Select the 144 Hz option and click Apply.
