Peculiar problem with an OLED screen (Acer Swift Edge, SFA16-41)

I bought this laptop 10 days ago. In order to minimize any possibility of OLED burn-in, I set the desktop background to solid black and hid all the icons. All this blackness, however, uncovered a strange phenomenon. Every time there is a bright enough area on the screen and pure black next to it, thin green, blue, and sometimes purple lines appear on its right side.

What do you think this is? Has anyone else seen this? Surely this means the display is defective? I mean, who would want a display with such a feature. Attached you'll find a few photos (albeit at low quality, since I took them with a mobile phone in a pitch black room to minimize reflections) of this phenomenon. Red splotches on the photos are just reflections of things in the room. The latter image is rather overexposed, but illustrates well the massive amount of these lines next to a bright photo.
