    Hi muqtharknr,

if you want to calibrate the battery, you can use this guide.

    Hi @muqtharknr

Memory effect takes place in older NiCad batteries when they are not discharged sufficiently before being recharged. The new Lithium Polymer/Ion batteries (like you have) do not have this memory effect and therefore don't need to be "calibrated". The industry recommends to keep Lithium Ion batteries charged between 20-80% but fully charging to 100% and leaving the power adapter connected after charging 100% won't affect Lithium Ion battery performance.

To check your charging history and capacity of your battery type the following in the Command Prompt (open the Command Prompt as Administrator):

    powercfg /batteryreport /output %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\battery_report.html

After running (press the Enter key) open the "battery_report.html" file om your desktop (double click) and look what capacity the 100% charge reads: if this is >70% lower than your Design Capacity you need to buy a new battery ($50). Also you can check in the history if your battery is deteriorating rapidly by looking at the 100% charge capacity in the past.
