Aspire A515-54-59W2 Why does the system show 20gb when I installed 16gb.

I recently upgraded the RAM in my aspire laptop from the stock 8gb to 16gb but when I look at the system properties it indicates that I have 20gb installed. Also, the single RAM module that I removed is labeled 4gb when the system properties indicated that was 8 gb. Why is there a 4gb difference from what is installed and what the system is reading ??

Hi,

You had 4GB onboard RAM and a 4GB removable RAM module originally, now, when you install 16GB, it shows 20GB total memory(4GB onboard+16GB), could you please post the full model name of the laptop, like A3xx-xx to confirm this.
