fingerprint reader won't work on Swift 3

I called tech support, and they told me to download a driver and restart. Did not fix the problem.

Could you please post the full model name of the laptop, like SF3xx-xx and the version of the driver.

Your Swift 3 model number is on the same sticker as your serial number, and looks something like SF3xx-xxx-xxxx. There have been a lot of different Swift 3 models over the years... Also fire up Device Manager and look at anything that's showing errors or warnings and show us screenshots.
