Thanks bro appreciate it, i'm sure the next gen of orion desktops will have the option of a 4090 but atleast for those who want to upgrade their current gen systems we know it fits and works, as both the 7000 PO7-640 and 5000 PO5-640 are technically the same cases it will work in both.

yeah, they will i have seen it on their page for the 7000 series at the top of the page they mention it but they didn't upgrade anything except the CPU and GFX so it will prob run even hotter now Haha. they should of fixed the cooler problems first.

Wow, looks great! Did you get those Predator memory sticks separately? Or more likely I assume they came with the PC itself? I recently upgrades my Orion 5000 memory sticks but I can't control their features like the lighting. Can you do that in your Orion 7000? Through the PredatorSense I mean.

I got the sticks seperately, they can be controlled by Aura sync which is through the Asus armoury crate software

and heres a benchmark on 3d mark for anyones who's interested

wow look at that score Haha i have never run that on mine I'm too cheap to pay for it lol. and all the free ones like user benchmark and nova bench are all over the place telling me all my stuff is under performing because nothing is over clocked, I'm guessing because i can't. i think they base everything on overclocking with most-all benchmarks except Cinebench r23 that always gives me a good score.

Lol chugzilla, it's free from steam, find it on there and use the demo version , it allows you to run the time spy benchmark and save/upload your results.

Just realized the original picture doesn't show the memory sticks synced as that was just after getting everything up and running, here they are with Aura sync

  • Did you replace the power supply as well? On the nvidia website, it states that an 850w power supply is required to power the rtx4090 video card.

@egydiocoelho Hi there, yes i've upgraded the PSU to an Asus rog thor 1200w and asus sent me out a 12VHPWR 16 pin so i don't need use the adapter that comes with the card, as things are still unclear about if acer will release another bios update for these , i'm considering a motherboard upgrade next.

New update to the Orion predator PO7-640 with the Gigabyte Aorus master RTX 4090 the biggest 4090 actually fits this case and in the verticle mount, also updated the AIO cooler to the Aorus waterforce x 240

wow thats unreal that you are getting those low temps and high frames in 4k thats better than mine in 1080p and cooler haha wow unreal i dont understand how but i see it. ok now i know i dont understand everything but i have learned alot thx to neo and stevegen and patches and a few others sorry if i forgot to mention you by name that a higher resolution causes more heat spech when using max settings and all the other goodies we can, so tonight i experimented with Days Gone when i use the optimal settings in the GeForce Experience app it sets the resolution of the game to 2k on max settings and my 3070 runs between 48-54 so tonight i decided to change that too 1920x1080 and instead of max settings and on this game they are called very high i changed the preset to high and the temps of the gpu ran between 40-44 really strange just slightly lowering 2 settings drops them temps almost 10 degrees. next time i play ill use max settings but keep the resolution at 1920x1080 and see what that does. but i can barely tell a difference oh and my fps went up quite a bit <136> when i dropped the resolution from 2k down to 1920x1080 thats odd to me also but probably normal.

Let me know how you get on with the temps , the 3070 was always considered a 1440p beast, because at that resolution it can push out high frame rates on high settings , i think 1080p is really no problem with it - temp wise the 3000 series start throttling at 110 degrees vram but anything close to or over 100 degrees should be addressed, the core you want to keep under 90 degrees, i generally aim for under 70 - you're well within target temps so you got nothing to worry about, the only thing about upper 80's is the PC will exhaust alot of hot air into the room , the heat from the cpu, gpu and other system components can really make a room uncomfortably hot.

yeah, i think i lucked out haha, i have a good system and GPU never goes over 54, thats highest it ever went and then settled at 53, so who knows, and that was max settings highest resolution in game 2k frames were at 110-120, BUT i changed the res to 1920x1080, and one settings under max, now is hovers at 44 same as CPU and the frames are almost 160 now, so wow when playing Days Gone, like i said i dont play any of the war games most do, so i dont think its them games, i think it all lies in the gfx settings and resolution, now after all i have learned from you guys heh. and i want to get new games but i have no idea what to get, ubisoft is having a HUGE sale right now on steam, most games are 67-85 % off by them, any recommendations? the sale ands on the 9th.

wow haha thats crazy bro, you really love to experiment and thats awesome, makes me feel more confident, i read how to remove my 3070 in the owners manual and im like they cant make it easy can they haha

One thing for removing original parts is there's alot of cable ties as the cable management is impeccable in these systems, so you might have to remove some, i know the orginal card on mine the power connector was tied to the ice tunnel, same with upgrading the PSU alot of cable ties to cut to free everything up.
