laptop p214-41-g2 Ryzen 3 pro 5450u heats up to 95 degrees

Hello!

Is it normally, that in installiation process, or watching videos CPU can heats up to 95? In max. perfomance mode. New laptop p214-41-g2.

    So while gaming, rather than just watching videos or doing an app installation. That makes much more sense, since the TravelMate P214-41-G2 isn't designed as a gaming rig. Running a game like that is going to task it to it's max, so seeing CPU temperatures at 90C or above isn't a surprise. If you are out of warranty you could try a better thermal paste on the CPU but it's only going to give some help, not be a full solution. In warranty would kind of depend on your skills at convincing a support tech that it's out of spec...

    don't run apps all at once, close the ones not needed

    use laptop cooling pad

    laptop needs cleaning especially the vents and the fans

    too much applications running in the background, disable some of them using task manager

    maybe a malware attack, scan using adwcleaner, smadav and Symantec/McAfee Endpoint Protection (you can download by looking at my signature below)

    So they are trying to keep the CPU under 90C and ideal is closer to 40C. For a new system, 95C is high, unless you are running in full out gaming mode. What is running when you see those numbers?

    Dark souls remastered, for example, heats up CPU to 96...
