Aspire c24-1600 won't turn on after power went off briefly

Please can anyone advise. Pc needed for work and studies urgently! Tried the usual unplug, leave for 10 minutes etc. My external back up drive is plugged into the pc via usb and that has its power light on. So power is getting to the unit but it just won't switch on!

My electric is on a key meter and I forgot to top up yesterday so it went off for 5 minutes. It's happened before and pc has always turned back on normally afterwards. This time it's unresponsive and I am panicking big time! It's only 6 months old 😩

Try discharging it, leave plugged into the wall but turn off the switch, hold the power button for ~ 10 secs after there are no signs of life (fan noise, power lights etc) , flick the power back on and see what happens. I know that sounds insane but it sometimes works

return it to the store where you bought it and avail the warranty or go directly to any Acer service center

Hmm , the fact the external drive is lighting up means that it's not a busted fuse, can you hear anything spin up?
