It's been a month. When I connect the charges sometimes work (light on), sometimes doesn't. If I change the position, move here or there, will start work. I guess some position are more suitable due to charging cable position?

I wiggled the charger connector, tested it by plug in and move on each side gently (while plugged in), yet the beep sound that charging is active didn't happen. I wanted to see if moving the connectors will trigger the charging.

It's a word of Aspire 315. The charging point has been cleaned and visually look alright, the inside spring/pins seems to be touching the charger pin, been cleaned too.

Battery reset was done, BIOS too, moved on different positions in the house. But seems to be working when is left on a table and in certain "unknown" position. I tried to lift the laptop during charging, it stopped charging, then tried and put it back in same position, but noup, didn't work out.

Don't have other charger to try with it.

Also I uninstalled drivers, tried that too.

Any thoughts please?

  • Hi @AnyHabit It is likely that the pinout of the internal circuit where the connector is soldered is broken.

In the absence of more answers, I would take it to a technical service.

If you still have a warranty, contact Acer first.
