The predator 3000 PO3 630g has a back metal plate on the GPU 1660 Super. How can I remove this metal back plate?

Thank you!

At first I wondered why it's there in the first place, but then saw it what is was, an anti-sag bracket keep the card in place. For a small and light card this monstrosity isn't needed and definitely an overkill.

    I'm not 100% sure, but here's my 0.05 cents.

To remove the bracket, remove the card from the PC (before pulling the card don't forget to open the plastic lever at the end of the PCIE slot). When the card is out, remove those four screws seen in the picture around that square in the metal. I believe those screws secure the heatsink and fan combo in place. After removing the heatsink, you should have access to, according to what I see in the picture, five screws that keep the metal monstrosity in place.

If you actually do this, be very careful. At least be prepared to reapply thermal paste on the GPU core. Memory chips will most likely have thermal pads on them, but with luck they will stay intact and are still usable. At worst, you need to buy new thermal pads. Unfortunately I have no idea how thick they are supposed to be.

When the GPU core is repasted and pads are in place, it's time to reassemble the card. The four screws you removed must be tightened one by one, little by little - not one screw fully and the the rest.

    Good luck!

I wouldn't bother myself... The plate could also be acting as a little heat sink and could be also directing system air flow. Either of those wouldn't make much difference, but it's a fair amount of work to go through for essentially no gain.
