Aspire 5755 camera not found

My webcam on my Aspire 5755 stopped working sometime in the last few months. I'm not sure when.

I do know that it did not show up in the Device Manager under Imaging Devices or any where else. It was not "hidden" in the device manager. It doesn't require special drivers. The standard Windows 7 drivers work just fine. And there were not any problem device highlighted in the Device Manager or camera's listed under another name. There are an awful lot of people that keep harping on the correct drivers being installed and the correct software being loaded blah blah blah. But if it isn't detected at all it is either broken or not there. I finally went on youtube to figure out how to remove the bezel on my 5755 to investisgate. It is on held on by two lower screws and the rest is snapped in place. As soon as I got the bezel off I could see the 5 pin connector to the camera was partially disconnected. Plugged it all the way in and the problem was solved. I hope this helps someone. This problem looks like it most likely was a manufacturing assembly issue. It is hard to imagine how my handling the laptop could have induced it. Goodluck.

FYI about two months ago I had a few usb_bugcode_driver BSOD happen to me. In retrospect I wonder if that wasn't the first clue it was coming loose. I wasn't using the camera then so I don't know when it failed.
