I lost my stylus for my Acer spin SP314-54N and I couldn't find anywhere to buy a new one but for eBay which I don't trust.... come to find out the spin3/spin5 pens are the same pen and can be interchangeable!!!!!!!! Walmart sells them on there online website, BUT CDS parts sells both pens also.

The Acer part number for your stylus is NC.23811.07A. It supports the AES 1.0 standard, so should work with any AES 1.0 pen. The Acer pen is the only one that will fit in the charging slot though.

I have had an acer spin 3 and an acer spin 5. the pens are slightly different. I can't remember for sure if they could interchagably put in the other slot and charge.

What i would like to know is how to test the level of charge on the pen, since there is no indictors on the pen or on the computer to tell me when the pen is being charged or what level of charge it is at (BTW, if acer added this feature to the pen and/or computer, that would be extremely helpful and an upgrade to what they have)

I found the pen great.. but there is misinformation in the manual. and the manual is missing technical info and troubleshooting info.

For example, the erase and right botton do not work on sketchpad as they state in the manual. I found that those bottons only worked in "OneNote" It would be nice if they worked in other apps. Do they work in other apps? if so which ones?

The pen is very responsive and smooth to use. I love that about the pen. It is small and thin.. but i can live with that because it can be stored on the laptop and does not get lost or fall off or out when stored in the provided slot. I think it would be great if Acer or other companies continued to advance features and updates and improvements to that small pen.. adding more functions and keep including it in newer renditions of their laptops and providing a user tutorial. on tips on how to use it. I have found no info about the use of it on Sketchpad or One Note and tips on how to use the a and b buttons. I am guessing that because the pen can be inserte in any direction and spun around to be inserted with correct side facing the chargin pins. the pins can become bent with the spinning of the the pen while in the slot. the picture below is the plastic toothpick i used and the midel pic is the after i bent the contacts straighter and the right picture is what the initially looked like when trying to troubleshoot my non working pen. as you can see the bottom pin on the far right picture is ben up quite a bit. I think this caused there to be no contact on the contacts on the side of the pen. And as a result the pen lost its charge eventually and was unable to continue to be charged while sitting in the slot.
