I bought my Acer Swift 3 SF314-52 a little over 4 years ago, and I have been experiencing problems with the battery. Two days ago, it was clearly charged around to 89% but died on me without warning within 40 minutes of using it. I went home, plugged in the charger and apparently it said my battery was still in the 80s so I didn't have to charge it after the initial reboot. However, I experienced the same issue yesterday where the battery went straight to 0% despite having a battery in the 80s. This time around, my laptop was essentially on life-support, with my charger having to be plugged in 24/7 for my laptop to turn on (0% charging, but battery doesn't actually charge past 0).
I've tried restarting, powering off my laptop, resetting the battery with the tiny reset button on the bottom, but all to no avail. I think it's also important to mention that the charging light is usually orange when I charge it, but ever since my laptop has been acting like this, the light has stayed blue with the charger inserted in. In my battery settings, it seems like my laptop is under the impression that my battery levels are still in the 80s despite being charged at 0%. I have the original charger and tried charging with a different outlet, so I don't think there's an issue with the charger itself.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
