I have an Acer Aspire A515-43 and it is Black Screen'ing. I've been trying many avenues to fix this. I tried using the Windows "Reset This PC" option. It looked like it was going to reset to from-the-factory condition, but it didn't. I tried the Windows Troubleshooting tools. I got "Startup Repair couldn't repair your PC".
I took out my Ubuntu on a Flash Drive device. I got Security Boot Fail. So I went to Supervisor Password, set a password. I did BIOS / Boot / Boot Mode / Secure Boot: Disabled. Now BIOS displays: Boot Menu: Secure Boot Disabled. But I still can't boot Ubuntu.
I don't have to boot into Ubuntu or install Ubuntu, I just want to get this laptop working, Windows would be fine.
At one point, in hopes that it would fix something, I upgraded this from Windows 10 to Windows 11. That did't fix the problem. Anyway, this is now a "barely works at all" Windows 11 Acer Aspire.
Please help me to get this working.
