How do i connect a second monitor (preferably HDMI) to my PO3-640? I tried a USB-C to HDMI adapter, but that didn't work as there's no video output to that port. Instead, will USB-3 to HDMI work? Thanks....
Your graphics card will have a HDMI output and hopefully some display port outputs - you could use an adaptor to convert display port to HDMI if your monitor doesn't have a display port - then you would need to right click on the desktop , goto display settings and select if you want the display duplicated so both show the same desktop or extended on one monitor , effectively giving you a larger desktop spread across two monitors.
does it have display port connections on the back? mine has 3 DP and 1 HDMI i use DP it's a lot better looking than HDMI. and i run dual monitors.
Yes, usually your GPU card has three DP and one HDMI ports... Just use one of the DP ports.

Thanks NeoGeo; the existing HDMI port runs the main monitor, and i want to add a second HDMI monitor; i was hoping to be able to use one of the existing USB 3.2 ports...
Hi shawzie,
So a USB can be used with an adaptor which goes to HDMI but the functionality won't be good for gaming, framerates won't be as high and would only have a use case as a basic display and you would need a CPU with integrated graphics. ( built in graphics, usually there's a hdmi port on the actual motherboard if the motherboard supports this )
In the case of using a USB 3.0 to HDMI apparently some of these have built in GPUs for display, it would be a case of test, trial and error to see if you can get it working - also from what i read it will also not function as well as a dedicated port for display , so you will drop frames, a user noted it would drop frames from watching YT videos.
What graphics card are you currently using? , you mentioned the HDMI is in use, does it have any free ports on the actual graphics card?
If you plan on using a another screen for basic display tasks and don't have the ports to use on your current GPU then something like this may work for you :
Again it can't be guaranteed and going off what others have used in a similar position.

I used a 'USB 3.0 to HDMI' connector rather than the 'USB-C to HDMI' one, and i now have a display on the second monitor. Thanks for the suggestions billsey, chugzilla, and NeoGeo!
