Nitro 5 Why isn’t my laptop charging.

So, I’ve had this laptop for quite a few years (Nitro 5) and it’s been through some issues, but after these few years it’s still doing fine, until now. I don’t know if it’s a problem with my charger or my laptop but when I try and plug it in and turn it on after it having ran out, it just says critical low battery. Now normally this wouldn’t be an issue but it has been sat for an hour sitting here “charging” and it still goes to critical low battery. I don’t know what the orange light on the side of the laptop is, or the blue one, but the orange one is always on when it’s charging but occasionally blinks off and when I turn it on, the orange light just repeatedly turns on and off with an occasional “Beep” noise as well. I was only able to get on once and even then it was on 2% and wouldn’t charge. So if it’s a problem with the laptop then I can’t fix it and if it’s a problem with the charger then I go get a new one. I’m just wondering to see if it’s a laptop or charger thing. :)

What is the exact Nitro laptop model number that you have? As it would make it allot easier to advise you on anything.

The orange light means your battery is NOT charged, a battery charger issue or a charger issue, the blue light means that your battery is charged and the other light if its blue means that your laptop is function ing properly.

If you have an orange light at the battery its means the battery is not charged and if you have a blue, it means its fully charged. Check the chargers pug pins, outside is negative inside its positive and it should be outputting about 19V. If it's your laptop that is faulty it could stop your charger from working as chargers have got a safety cutoff switch and that gets triggered when your laptop has either a faulty DC power port or it's got internal problems in its charging circuitry stages that need repairing and no matter what you do nothing will fix that unless a technician analyses these circuitries and fixes them.
