Aspire TC 895 PSU- would like to upgrade with a new graphics card.

Hello everybody !

I have an Aspire TC 895 and would like to upgrade with a new graphics card. However, for this I need a new PSU. The problem is that most PSUs won't fit in the TC 895.

Does anyone know of a small size PSU that would fit in an Aspire TC 895 with 500 watts ?

The TC-895 has 1x 8pin ATX_12V power connector and a 1x 6pin ATX _POWER connector, see the mobo caption below and connection details, also the only size PSU is that fits into that case (unless you modify it) is what the oem size PSUs is and thats a max 500W that Acer fits into this desktop, to get another PSU with higher power you need to first measure your oem size and search the web and get a higher wattage PSU that is the same size or change the TC-895s case, as you can't fit a round peg in a square hole😁

There were actually two different cases used with the TC-895 models, and the difference was in the power supply. They initially used an ATX12VO supply, then later switched to a TFX12V0. The latter is a smaller supply physically than the former. As Steven points out they were both the newer 12VO standard so a 'normal' supply will not work without extensive mods. What is your power supply rated at? They came with 180W, 300W and 500W versions. If you can give me the first ten characters (and only the first ten) or your serial number I can likely look that up.
