Tinkerer
Hi.
I want to add an SSD unit (Crucial MX500 1TB) inside my laptop and I realized I needed to buy some kind of adapter for my motherboard.
With my little experience I bought some kind of adapter (from https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000431027737.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.79ae1802enYzvF )
I guess I did a mistake because, after inserting my ssd inside this adapater (with 4 lateral screws),
(I fear) there is no way to set this adapter to the motherboard (ok for the sata cable, but there are no additional screws, only 2 rubbers rails that I cannot fix to the mother...
What am I missing? Can I still use this adapter in my case?
Is there a more suitable adapter for my ssd to be set inside my motherboard?
Thanks
PS
A friend suggested me to buy this other adapter instead (I guess he's right):

What do you think? Is it the right one?

Hi,
Yes, you can still use this caddy using some double sided sticker to secure it to the main body of the laptop, applying double sided sticker to the rubber rails and attach it to the caddy, then along the rubber rails attach the double sided tape to attach it to the main body of the laptop.
If you don't want to go through the hassle buy the caddy your friend suggested but I don't want you to spend money, hence I have given the above suggestion.
