Hello.

I just recently bought the Nitro AN517-55-5354 and I was wondering if I may get some help finding the right RAM for it.

It has the 8 gigs of RAM and I believe a max of 32, so I would like to max this baby out. lol.

Thanks JambiEye

For the 32GB ram at 2x16GB DDR4-3200Mhz the best way to upgrade is to buy a 32GB ram kit, do the Crucial System Scan as they have some good, valued ram, also your laptop only works on standard CL22 type ram so don't buy overclocked XMP type ram as it will not work, and your laptop won't boot.

These are the SG Acer listed 16GB DD4-3200MHz modules that are compatible with your AN515-55, so you can upgrade to 2x of these modules for a max total of 32GB ram also.

Thanks for the reply! After searching and reading I found this set https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfra32

I tried that scan on the CruciaI site and kept getting what you see below.

    System scan results

RAM & SSD Upgrades Scan ID: C04E59BD31D926C3

Well, this is embarrassing! No system match was found.

Somehow, a match for your system has eluded our industry-leading compatibility database. Our compatibility team will be searching for a solution if it is available, so check back soon!

Probably the site was down when you did the scan, because they do have a scan for your Nitro 5 AN515-55 which and btw comes up for my laptop the Nitro AN515-56 when I do this scan, as they are the same laptop, look at the scan here "Acer Nitro AN515-55 RAM & SSD Upgrades" and their recommendation is for a total max of 64GB into your laptops 2x memory slots, their recommended 32GB kit is here Crucial 32GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM - CT32G4SFD832A - and these are the specs DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 260-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8 • PC4-25600 and not the one that you have the link to the 32GB kit # CT2K16G4SFRA32A, so look at that scan.

Thanks. I've been browsing thru websites when I get a spare moment and the things I do find which have been only a handful of sites have said the max RAM is 32GB, but you say the max is 64GB. Sorry I should have saved the links. I'll have to try and find them when I get some time.

Oh, I tried looking for it manually thru the site but could not find my laptop and every time I try the darn crucial scan, I get that same message I stated in my last comment. Tried the Scan around 1am, 11am, noon and 1pm central time and same message.
