There is a crackling noise and no microphone.

I have probably had pretty much the same issue as in this thread

https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/664751/audio-gets-weird-on-my-acer-aspire-3-a315-42-r7r0

Downloaded this:

Version:

6.0.9172.1

Reboot. Tried several times.

Also, the sound input seem to be out of order. When running built in problem solver/solution finder: sound services does not reply (my translation to English) for the Intel Smart Sound Technology.

When running  problem solver/solution finder on Stereo Mix - Realtek(R)

"Both the Windows Audio service and the Windows Audio End Point Builder service must be running for audio to work properly. At least one of the services is not responding." (my translation to English)

I've spent hours trying to fix a new product I have paid for.

Also, I've seen many others having the same issue.

This cannot be right. I paid for it, you should fix it.

Please advice.

    1. Open Control Panel. Search 'sound' .
    2. Click 'change sound card settings' left pane.
    3. Click playback tab.
    4. Right click speaker properties that you are using.
    5. Turn off Dolby audio tab if present.
    6. Click advanced tab and uncheck all exclusive modes and unchekc hardware acceleration.
    7. Turn off Spatial sound tab if present.
