idk how to call the thing that's happening, but sometimes audio in my laptop gets crunchy [no matter if I'm using headphones or speakers], makes popping sounds and overall sounds like through a bad phone call, windows troubleshooter only says to disable audio enhacements which only solves this temporarily, I bought this laptop in november and this only started happening about a week ago.
can this be fixed with a driver update/reinstall? if so, what driver would that be?

    Try windows x
Go to device manager - Go to sound video and game controllers.  Expand it
Uninstall the sound driver from device manager.  Please uninstall all the items below the sound video and game controllers. Restart the computer.  It should work fine..

If it is still not working
Uninstall the sound driver from device manager
    Dont restart the computer.
    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model
    go to drivers
    Install the sound driver

    It should work fine.

    >>>this only started happening about a week ago.>>>

Open Control Panel. Search 'restore point'. Click 'create a restore point' in left pane. If System Protection is turned on in the box that pops up, click System Restore button. Click next. Do you see an automatic restore point with a date stamp from about a week ago?

You can then try the restore point date immediately before the issue started.
