Heya, this happens even when the pc is off. the ticking noise keeps happening when I replace the cord with another of the exact model, and the sound worsens when the PC is turned on, almost turns into a buzzing noise. it's really concerning! the PC boots up fine tho.

any help would be appreciated! thank u ^_^

This usually happens from different issues; it could be a short internally or externally with the power supply and the relay is switching to protect the PSU from over-current protection. Clicking noises can also come from fans that are dying or that are just gummed up with dust. While the case is off, go ahead and power up your PC. Look over—but don’t touch—the internal components. If you see the fan is not spinning properly, you’ll need to resolve the problem. You may be able to clean a fan. Also, your power supply is probably clicking because something is internally wrong with it. What the problem may be isn’t always easy to narrow down. Multiple points of failure in your computer and the PSU’s connections must be investigated to find a definitive answer by an experienced tech or try to connect another PSU and see if its the actual PSU or your desktop PC that is causing this.

OP, many people have suffered from this same "feature". My PO3-620 did as well. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it. As far as I know, few forum members sent their PCs back for investigation and PSU replacement, but the problem didn't go away.

Therefore it is very likely that there is something wrong with the components being used: replacing your PSU with an identical unit will not help.

well i know mine was making a loud ticking-clicking sound months ago and i had a hard time telling what it was other than it was coming from the back of the case i used predator sense putting the fans in custom mode and using the sliders to see what one it was because at first i thought it was coming from the power supply but ended up being the NVidia 3070 fans. hope this helps.
