Hello!

I purchased my desktop back in November 2022 and set it up on Christmas. I am curious to know what everyone's suggestions are when it comes to general gaming desktop maintenance (both software i.e. CCleaner and physical cleaning i.e. dust filter, compressed air can, etc.). I mainly want to know what tasks I should be performing daily vs weekly vs monthly vs a few times a year?

Thanks!

With the software of your PO5-640 (that is an excellent prebuilt desktop) you don't need CCleaner or any other such software as and mostly they do more damage than fix anything, stick to the oem and use the Win-11 disk inbuilt Disk Cleaner and System Cleaner, and clean the boot drive like every week and after there is a major windows update to free unnecessary files from the boot drive.

As far as the hardware, make sure that all case vents and case fans, CPU and GPU fans are periodically cleaned with a brush and afterwards blow the dust out with air on these components, so that the fans are clean and functioning perfectly. Also and initially, every user should check the paste of the CPU/GPU that have been applied by Acer and preferably use a higher end product like the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme paste on the CPU and GPU and also do this every 12 month, also upgrade the oem CPU cooler to the high end Noctua NH-U9S type cooler that is an upgrade CPU cooler for this desktop.

Also check the GPU if its pads and paste have been done properly (as allot of times GPUs are not thermally shielded properly or adequately) and that is why they overheat and get damaged, so open the GPU and check its pads and paste and change the pads to a much superior pad like the Thermal Grizzly minus Ultra Hight Thermal Pads as that is where most of the problems are in a prebuilt desktop, otherwise there is not much else that you can do.

i hate using compressed air they seem to barely have any in the cans nowadays and it takes a lot of it to clean the metal fins on the NVidia GFX cards and the case fans etc. i noticed so I'm buying this instead.
