Does anyone know of a good hard drive for a TC-780?

My current disk is very slow. I got it as a replacement for the original disk and an article I read said the reason it is so slow is that it makes a quick write to a slow area then later writes the data again to a faster area. The article said not to use it as a system disk because it does 2 writes for every write a good disk would make. I tried an SSD but after cloning the C: drive to the SSD and installing it, when I started the computer it asked for a repair disk instead of starting right up, which it wasn't suppose to do, so I put the slow hard disk back in it and returned the SSD.

You must have cloned the boot mechanical HDD incorrectly. Use Acronis True Image and use an M.2 as a boot drive as the TC-780 has provisions for a SATA M.2 drive and you can clone the existing Boot drive internally where you only have to buy a new SATA M.2 (see #9 below) and connect it and use Acronis to clone the boot drive, that is the best, safest and fastest way to clone a boot drive, unless your boot drive has OS errors and you are cloning an errored boot disk.
