This has been a problem since before 2017. Its becoming apparent that Acer has no intention of fixing this major flaw.

Its bad enough that microsoft paid off Acer to have their crappy software pre installed on all their computers. Now apparently microsoft has paid off Acer once again to design a system that keeps people from being able to install any other operating system. If I had known this before I bought the computer I would have kept on walking. This is like buying a car that only uses Conoco gas and nothing else. This is border line illegal. No wonder microsoft spends millions of dollars in court cost from being sued each year.

The other half of the world uses Linux. Usually installed from a flash drive. When Acer creates a computer that can only run the worst operating system available, that automatically knocks out 1/2 of the customers right from the start. Genius. Has anyone here been able to solve the issue of ACER trying to shove microsoft down our throat? I have not used microsoft in 15 years. Now I can see that its even worse than it was.
