V246HQL Monitor Restart Loop?

A client has 3 V246HQL which have been serving him well until recently. He physically moved his setup to a new office.

The problematic unit is physically the center of the three monitors in horizontal line. It is usually connected directly to the HDMI port of the laptop using the VGA to HDMI cable with adapter. However at the former office it was connected to a dock and working fine.

Two other V246HQL are connected to a Pluggable brand dock--one with VGA to HDMI connector, another with DVI to HDMI cable. These are (mostly) working fine.

The problematic often or usually seems to be in a constant restart loop.

I ran optional Windows updates looking for an update.

He pulled the power cable and repowered it. He also moved the DVI to HDMI cable from one of the other units to the problematic unit without resolution of the problem.

Of course he restarted his computer.

Do you have any suggestions for this type of problem?

Disconnect one of the fine units from the pluggable brand dock. Then connect the problem unit to the pluggable brand dock. How does the problem unit respond now?
