My acer veritron X2611g don't boot - when I install 4 gb ram it doesn't work anymore.

Yesterday I boot my Veritron and works fine, but today when I turn on a computer (after 30 minutes) dont't make any beep, and don't post. When I install 1 Gb memory it forks fine, but when I install 4 gb ram it doesen't work anymore. (Sometimes randomly restart). I need help! Thanks!

1. Modules should be DDR3 1.5V dimms 1033MHz or higher.
2. 4GB module should go in dimm socket 1. 1GB module in dimm socket 2.
3. If you have two 2GB modules, both should be the same and dual channel enabled.

Use the jumpers on the motherboard to clear the CMOS settings, #15 here:

Then boot into the BIOS and do a factory reset and save to make sure they are correct. The two beeps tell us that there is a problem with the CMOS, usually corrupted settings.

try to swap the two memories from each place.

try to use one memory at a time.

maybe the 4gb RAM is not compatible with the mobo (motherboard)

maybe the RAM is not seated properly in the socket.

it is recommended to use the same memory size, same speed, same version and same brand for them to work together flawlessly.

New problem. The computer only give me beep code. 2 short. I replace the Cmos Battery and nothing change.

1. Did you try to flash the BIOS chip?
2. Is the new CMOS coin cell 3.1volts or higher?

Thanks, of all respondents. I replace with a "non conpatible" moterboard becasuse the PSU cable too short, and the power button doesn't compatible (I change the PSU place ect.)

What do you mean? What motherboard did you try to use? What motherboard are you using now?
