Acer Spin plastic cover cracked again!

A while ago (August of 2022) I sent my Acer Spin in for warranty work on the case. The plastic cover cracked from nothing more than opening the laptop. Acer fixed it under warranty, but now only a few months later, the SAME CRACK has happened again! Except this time it is out of warranty!

Is there any chance of Acer fixing this computer case again under warranty? Considering this is obviously a serious issue with this model.

We cannot guarantee and course of a repair that Acer makes, as its up to Acer. Consult Acer where your laptop was repaired before, as their repair has a warranty, as this is very unusual that a new and replaced case also breaks, so consult Acer and get them to verify what the next course of action should be, as I'm very sure that Acer is very reasonable. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Also you might think about changing your procedure for opening and closing the laptop. The newer 'thin and light' designs have thinner mounts for the hinge screws, so if you open the laptop too quickly or from the corner instead of the center it puts enough stress on the hinges that the screws will pull loose over time. It's repairable by building the screw mounts back up using an epoxy and resetting the screws, and that repair can actually be stronger than the original, but it will also be ever so slightly heavier than it was...

Thanks to both of you. Since the first fracture I've been extremely careful about opening the ACER. This time the fractures are far more serious than the first time. They started from both sides of the top and are extending across the entire top of the unit. IMO this is a faulty case? I have a much older ACER Chromebook which my grand children have used for more than a few years and which is in perfect condition. This ACER is only used by myself and the fracturing is such an issue. Cheaper material? I am elderly and never use the SPIN feature and always use the computer on a table or desk. Never in bed, etc.

Please, can someone give me an e-mail address or website for the ACER Repair in Burnaby BC Canada? I have e-mails from them but ALL are listed "no reply"? Makes it super difficult to get any answers on this matter.
