my a715-72g no sound device detected I want my intel sound card back.

Hi dear community users. I have a problem with my a715-72g.

I've recently disabled my intel sound card because I was upset after plugging in HDMI and listening to the music through that port.

After a couple of days, I realized that i don't need the Dolby application anymore cause HDMI doesn't support it.

After a couple of weeks, I updated my BIOS from 1.22 to 1.24. Windows crashed after that and never woke up.

I've reinstalled it.

When I went out with my laptop and doesn't have my 5.1 speakers I realized that I want my intel sound card back.

I tried to enable the device as I did it by disabling it, but I've never managed to find it. Even though manage devices.

I tried to install drivers from acer site. Nothing.

I thought that maybe it was a BIOS problem so have updated it again to 1.26. Still nothing.

I have formatted the whole hard drive and installed windows again, drivers again and...still nothing.

I have read that it's possible to enable the device in BIOS, but I don't know how.

I don't know how to:

- enable my intel sound card
- install the DOLBY app, I can't install DAX because i get the message "both Dolby audio driver and API needs to be installed"

P.S. Linux hw-probe says that the intel device is detected, but the sound card isn't present as an audio device either. PLEASE HELP

Did you re-install the factory ACER OEM Windows version from the hidden ACER OEM factory reset partition? Using either the AcerCareCtr or the ALT+F10 cold boot method?
Or did you re-install the Microsoft generic Windows version that probably doesn't have system library files the Acer drivers often rely on? AKA In semi-LinuxLingo, the Acer driver dependencies aren't built in to the generic Windows versions.
Also, did you install Linux alongside Windows or use a live stick? The reason being that hidden OEM factory reset partition is often rendered inaccessible when the Linux boot manager is the primary boot loader.

First time I reinstalled using Windows reset method.
After I realized that it didn't help, I reinstalled it again doing formating on whole drive
I used linux live stick and hw-probe with it.

What can I do?

Unfortunately, the Windows reset method outside of the AcerCareCenter or BIOS envornment is not an OEM factory reset. Do you think you re-formatted ALL the partitions on the disk including the hidden 1GB partition that has the original compressed ACER OEM recovery files?

Well...I'm sure that I have deleted all partitions (100MB, and 512MB those were created by installer of Windows) and my main partition with SYSTEM.

After deleting I'vr chosen THAT one big unformatted partition to install Windows on it.

Installer created two additional partitions (RECOvERY 512 MB and SYSTEM EFFI 100MB).

Do you think that I've deleted OEM partition as well how to recover it or how to download those settings or image? Would it be possible if I give you my SNID or whole CODE of my computer?

I think so. Press Win+R. Enter 'diskmgmt.msc'. Post screenshot of result if possible. Do you see more than one recovery partition?

Did you also create the D partition by shrinking the ACER OEM factory Windows when it was still on machine? This often can interfere with using the OEM recovery partition as well.

Have you tried downloading and running iobit's Driver Booster freeware yet to see if it can detect the hardware and pick up a driver on line that will work with the present system setup?

I have DELETED all partitions while installing Windows after that, I shrank C:\ and created D:\.

I will try that driver booster you mentioned and will get back.
