Hello,

my 3 month old Aspire A315-23 is shutting off as soon as I unplug the power cord. The battery shows as fully charged.

What can I do? Thanks,

    Hi,

Switch off the laptop, disconnect from mains, follow the instructions in the video to reset the battery, when you press the reset button do it gently, once you completed the reset leave the laptop to rest for 20 Minutes, reconnect AC adapter and fully charge the battery before starting the laptop, 1 is the battery reset pinhole in my picture.

Connect your power adapter turn on your laptop and logon to Windows to generate a Battery Report by typing the following command in the Command Prompt (open as Administrator):

    powercfg /batteryreport /output %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\battery_report.html

Double click on the battery_report icon on your desktop and check the FULL CHARGE CAPACITY history if that has gone too low, you need a new battery ($50).
