V277U Monitor is getting screen burn in more often

Member Posts: 2 New User

Hello! I am new here so hopefully this is the correct place to ask.

For the past few months my V277U has increasingly gotten worse with screen ghosting. At first it only happened if I accidentally left something on my monitor for like 3 hours, but turning the monitor off overnight seems to fix the burn in temporarily.

Now though, I was watching a youtube video and paused it for 20 mins while I took a shower, and it ghosted pretty good. it goes away eventually but if this keeps up ill get ghosting all the time when playing games and such that have UIs that stay there for long periods of time!

I have had this monitor for 3 years and its one of my favorites, does anyone have a solution or maybe there's manufacturer warranty?

I have included pictures I took to see the ghosting, you might have to zoom in a little my phones not the best.

Thanks everyone!

Ghosting is a phenomenon in display screens. It happens when a part of the screen is not updated in time, or the color of the part is not consistent with the rest of the screen. Because of this, a fast-moving object will leave a trail of its previous position on the display. Have a look at this guide Monitor Ghosting: How To Fix It & How To Prevent It as its a good one and try all the fixes there,

Thanks for your response! I will try some of the things listed in the link you gave.

But i feel I misworded my problem, ghosting might not be my issue, but my monitor has a image retention problem. I will still try what you gave me but is there anytbing to be done about image retention?

    Thanks a bunch!
