A couple of weeks back I was going to install my 2nd ssd but I couldn't for the life of me find the right screw fitting on the motherboard. Some help would be appreciated, thanks.

What is the exact model number of your desktop or laptop that you want this information for, as in most laptops and desktops Acer provides the M.2 securing screw and its screwed into its thread, so check that out first! If not, then below are all the two types of M.2 drives securing screws for desktops and laptops:

    Desktop M.2 drives screws

    Laptops M.2 drives SSD 1 & 2 type screws

The M.2 screws are easily found on venues like Amazon. A lot of the standard M2 screws have too small of a head and won't do a good job of holding the SSD in place. You want the wider head...

Thanks for all of the helpful resources. I just got back home from a trip to read the messages. The pc I bought is the Predator Orion 5000.

I ended up with a set of several from Amazon for my 5000. I'm dropping a couple of 8TB HDDs in this week so have to open it up again... I need to mount it on a scissor jack to get it up off the floor more easily. :)
