Hi all

I have the PT-515-51-73Y9 and have recently bought a Alogic docking station (DUPRDX3) and I am unable to charge the laptop through the USB-C port I am not sure if it may have to do with some of the software or my laptop is just not compatible with charging through the port. I have everything else working perfectly fine connecting to the monitors etc. I was able to have it working on the work computer but didn't work with my partners computer which is a Acer Aspire A515-54 (A515-54-75W2).

Any help would be very much apricated.

The PT-515-51-73Y9 USB Type-C/ TB 3 port has the following specs and with your TB3 it will not charge the laptop as it needs 230W and TB3 has a max capacity of 100W, this is the specs of the USB-C:

Connects to USB devices with a USB Type-C connector. Supports Thunderbolt™ 3 and DisplayPort over USB-C displays. 

    • USB 3.1 Gen 2 with transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps. 
    • Supports DisplayPort™ audio/video output. 
    • Compatible with Thunderbolt™ 3  Delivers up to 3A at 5V DC for USB charging.

Charging is an optional capability of USB-C/TB3 ports. Having Thunderbolt 3 does not guarantee charging support. The official max of the USB PD spec is 100W and your Predator has 230W, but some 130W power source can receive that via USB-C/TB3, as well as some docks that can provide 130W over USB-C, that is why you can't and it doesn't work. As the newer.
