Hello,

Just bought Nitro 5 AN517-41 and a Belking 11-1 USB-C Hub. The hub does not detect the screens plugged in to the hub no matter if i plug it in HDMI or Displayport in the HUB.

The monitor works if i plug it in to the HDMI in the computer. But the monitor only supports 120hz with HDMI but 165hz with Displayport. So i want to run it with Displayport thru the hub.

The network cable is connected to the hub and it works. Also the keyboard and mouse.

I Tried installing new drivers for both GPUs in my system.

I Tried to find the monitors in display settings.

I Tried Troubleshooting.

Is there a fix?

Your AN515-41 does not have the provisions to connect this Belking 11-1 USB-C Hub with a USB-C cable to the laptops left side USB-C port as that port does not have power it only has the following specs,

    • USB Type-C port - Connects to USB devices with a USB Type-C connector. Supports USB 3.1 Gen 1 with transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps

You can't connect this hub to the AN515-41s USB-C port to power it on, you need power for the HDMI and DP ports to work and a type of a power adaptor with a USB-C port to power this hub on, as the AN515-41 is too old, and that is why the HDMI or DP ports are not working.

Try that because that is your problem as the AN515-41 is an older type of Nitro 5 and its USB-C is not like the newer type of USB-C spec laptops that their USB-C specs are as follows:

    • USB 3.2 Gen 2 with transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps.
    • Supports DisplayPort™ audio/video output.
    • Compatible with Thunderbolt™ 4.
    • Delivers up to 3 A at 5 V DC for USB charging
