I have an Acer Aspire xc-1660 desktop-dm3uh0d (SN:DTBGWEQ00B************) it is connected to a monitor using hdmi and it works fine, but I would also like to connect it to a mobile monitor (which I have used with my portable computer). This monitor is a Lenovo Think Vision M14, it connects to my pc with usb c (which also powers the monitor). Can I use a hdmi-port to connect to the mobile monitor (will it be powered through the hdmi-port). The Aspire also has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C Port, but I can not get that to work. The mobile monitor seems to be powered, but the Aspire cannot "find" the screen.

Is it possible to use the Lenovo Think Vision with my Aspire xc-1660? If so, how? What kind of equipment will I need to get?

(I have tried to search for information here, but I have not been able to find an answer to my problem.)

I dont think that it would be possible as it requires a DisplayPort over USBC passive connection which the desktop wont have . What may work (* and this is a real stretch ) is converting a HDMI port into a USB-C Displaylport with something like https://amzn.to/3GtTo8t . in the review it looks like someone is using that to go from HMDI to USBC for a portable monitor

I couldnt guarantee that it would work though!
