A few days ago this week, I was gaming on my Acer Nitro 5 (playing Assetto Corsa) and the FPS suddenly dropped from a solid, stable 70 FPS to 10 -12 FPS. This had happened before, and all I had to do was restart or update but there was no updates and restarting did nothing.

Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-57)

Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz  2.30 GHz

Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

It may be that your games are running on the dedicated GPU and not on the discrete Nvidia GPU. So do this

    1. Go to the Nvidia control center and under manage 3d settings/Preferred Graphics processor set to your Nvidia GPU then under the Program Settings tab select the programs and games that you want to run on the Nvidia GPU/High Performance

    2. Make sure Windows is set to high performance not on balanced

3 . before starting game keep your battery charged to 100% and also keep plugged in while gaming.

Click on 'Yes' for the question on bottom , if youre happy with my answer❤️

I tried that but it did not fix it, instead the problem is half fixed as I ran a check disk code on command prompt, restarted my laptop and my computer is back to normal, BUT every time I shut my laptop down and boot it back up, the problem is there again and I must run the code and restart my Laptop again.

    code is: C:\Windows\system32>chkdsk C: /F
