Acer Aspire V3-772g motherboard replacement The question is, how do I know whether it's compatible?

Hello there.

I have a 750m model in pristine condition...except for a couple of insignificant details. The GPU was fried and removed by a local laptop service center, the charging port and the keyboard both had to be replaced. I had to redently reassemble it in a hurry and, probably, dropped something metallic on the motherboard and shorted it or stabbed it with a screwdriver. Or I didn't, but it shows nothing but the black screen when I turn it on and doesn't seem to load. It just spins its fan at me.

I am, most definitely, ordering a new motherboard on aliexpress. The question is, how do I know whether it's compatible? There are 850m options and I want them. Getting a minor upgrade for a fair price and all the trouble would make everything 100% worth it. Is it a trap or just a revised version of the same motherboard?

You, guys, are my only hope.

I've had good luck with mainboards as advertised from Aliexpress vendors and concessionaires. Furthermore, some of them warehouse the mainboards stateside , especially those of your vintage. So deliveries can be less than a week. You can sometimes hit upon a vendor who has only 1 or 2 vintage boards left and is willing to part with them incredibly cheap. I got a brand new Win8x era laptop mainboard for $25 with free shipping from am Aliexpress warehouse in Kentucky. I'm using it right now in my reply running LinuxMint.🙂.

Best is to look at your existing boards part number and search for a replacement andt exact part number up and purchase that, best is to purchase these boards from reputable retailers and not from China where you could get anything and everything, as they advertise one thing and sully other things, which I've had many exsamples with and I don't trust them, its the same with gpu anespecially!

Below is just one example of a replacement mobo for your laptop and its the Acer motherboard V3-772G v3-772 - VA70HW NBM8S11001 MAIN_BD_GDDR5 with GTX760M GPU type boards as this will fit into your case and is the oem replacement which there are board that range from US $180 to $210.00 like below.
