Acer 275HL Underscan Issue

I recently received my 275HL and when connected to my computer there is about 1cm of black between the edge of the screen and the start of the display on the top and sides of the monitor. All resolution settings and graphics card settings are set so that the screen should take up the maximum amount of space but I've had no improvement. I contacted Acer support and they told me to install the drivers for the monitor to which they provided a link. This download did not contain an .exe as they stated it would and did not install any drivers. I'd like to use of the screen space available but am unsure how to proceed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
