Nitro 5 Lid Function / HDMI output I couldn’t find their prescribed volume manage driver

Hello.

Closing the lid cuts off my screen duplicate hdmi output to the tv. The paradox is that my close the lid setting is set as “do nothing” for both option for battery and plugged in. I can confirm that that setting works so far as if I have music playing on Spotify and close it, the music is uninterrupted and keeps playing.

I’ve tried setting the main default playback to the connected device as well as a host of other chronological processes like power on device (tv)/ close lid / no signal / power off device(tv) / remove hdmi cable / power up device (tv) / plug it in attempt to invoke functionality.

Is this really not possible? Again, music will play with the lid closed. But if you plug the hdmi cable in or have it plugged in, there’s no signal and no sound.

I read something somewhere about a Regisry hack or something with the ACPI lid driver and updating the driver with Volume Manager while they were solving the same issue in a Windows 7 OS, however I couldn’t find their prescribed volume manage driver in my particular selection.

The “just keep the lid open a little” solution just seems a little too pathetic. I just assumed it would work with the aforementioned settings never having done this before.

Thank you for your time in advance.
